Bin rentals in Durham Region start at $299 for a 5-yard bin and go up to $995 for a 40-yard bin. All prices include a 7-day rental period. If you need extra time, it’s $25 per day. How long can I keep a rental bin?
Every rental includes 7 days. If your project runs longer, just let us know — we charge $25 per extra day and we’re flexible about it. We understand that renovations don’t always finish on schedule. Just give us a heads up before the 7 days are up and we’ll extend your rental without any hassle.
Do I need a permit to put a bin on the street in Pickering, Ajax, or Whitby?
If the bin is going on your private driveway, you typically don’t need a permit in any of our service areas. If the bin needs to go on a public road, boulevard, or sidewalk, most municipalities in Durham Region require a road occupancy permit. Requirements vary by city. We can help you figure out what’s needed for your specific address — just ask when you book.
Can I put drywall in a rental bin?
Yes — drywall is one of the most common things people put in rental bins. It goes in your standard residential bin along with other renovation debris like wood, flooring, trim, and old cabinets. Just don’t mix drywall with heavy materials like concrete or soil — those need their own bin due to weight.
Can I put a mattress or furniture in a rental bin?
Yes. Mattresses, box springs, couches, chairs, dressers, tables — all of it is accepted in our standard residential bins. If you’re doing a full home cleanout and have a lot of large furniture, the 14-yard or 20-yard bin gives you the room you need.
Can I put concrete or dirt in a regular bin?
No — heavy materials like concrete, soil, clean fill, red bricks, and asphalt go in a separate heavy-material bin. This is because they weigh significantly more per volume than regular garbage, which affects how much the truck can legally haul. We offer flat-rate bins specifically for these materials starting at $350, so it’s simple and affordable.
What happens if I fill the bin past the top?
For safety and transportation reasons, bins must not be loaded above the rim. We can’t legally haul an overfilled bin. If your bin is overfilled when we arrive for pickup, we’ll ask you to remove the excess before we can take it. If you think you’re going to run out of room, call us — we can often arrange an early swap or an additional bin.
